New in LearningGuide Manager
Several modifications have been made in LearningGuide Manager version 5.3. Below you’ll find the most important ones:
Modification of the license mechanism
You will need a new license to register for LearningGuide Manager 5.3. LearningGuide Manager makes use of two different types of license files:
- Singular license file
Only one user at the same time can use LearningGuide Manager
- Plural license file
LearningGuide Manager can be used simultaneously by multiple users
Choose one of the options below depending on the type of license file:
- Singular license file:
one user
- Plural license file:
multiple users (not simultaneously)
- Plural license file:
multiple users

Accessibility
A LearningGuide publication meets accessibility standards (WAIC, W3C, 508).
E-learning courses
It is possible to publish content which meets the SCORM (Shareable Courseware Object Reference Model) standards. Therefore LearningGuide content can be used in a Learning Management System.

- Shortlist
the window open topics has been replaced by the window shortlist
- Hyperlinks to external data files
you have two options when you create a hyperlink to an external data file. The file remains at its original location or the file will be added in the LearningGuide publication.
- Format
The format Superscript and Subscript can be applied to all topic types. These formats will be supported in a LearningGuide publication, however not in a pdf-publication.
- Polygone hotspots
Besides the rectangular hotspot, you can also create polygone hotspots in a image.
- Tell-a-friend option
The tell-a-friend button has been added to the LearningGuide publication. In the LearningGuide publication a user can directly sent an email with a hyperlink of an interesting topic to a colleague.
